Air Traffic Control Maintenance Technician of the Year Award

  • Deadline for submission of Nomination Packet is September 1st of the subsequent year
  • All information in the Summary and Support Documents must have occurred between September 1 and August 31 of the year that the nomination is being submitted.

CRITERIA

Sponsored by Raytheon, this Award will be presented "to the Army Aviation ATC maintenance technician who has performed outstandingly in or contributed commendably to air traffic control during the awards period encompassing September 1 through August 31." A candidate for this AAAA National Award may be a military or civilian nominee and must be actively involved in Army Aviation ATC. Membership in the AAAA is not a requirement for consideration.

Ground systems include NAVAIDS, communications, and all other systems or equipment used in ATC.

One or more of the general areas below may be considered, with no priority implied: 1) outstanding personal performance; 2) introduction and acceptance of procedures that have improved operations, maintenance, efficiency, and safety; 3) authorship of a recognized technical or nontechnical paper on ATC equipment maintenance; and 4) dedication of ability in and dedication to maintaining ATC equipment and facilities beyond the normal requirement or expectation.
